Yet another award winning blend from Alec Bradley!
Sporting a unique 2006 Corojo wrapper, Prensado was completely built around its limited, Honduran-grown wrapper leaf and earned a whopping 96 points by Cigar Aficionado in addition to No. 1 Cigar of the Year Honors for 2011.
Alec Bradley cigars have been redefining what enthusiasts expect out of premium, Honduran blends. Alan Rubin definitely knows what we as consumers want from a great cigar. His blends are perfectly balanced, with medium to full bodies and offer smooth, unique complexities that keep your attention from start to finish. We feel Alan Rubin has easily, truly earned every high rating he's received, such as the '94' rated Tempus and even this '96' rated Prensado.
Prensado comes box-pressed, and features a fantastic blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran premium long leaf tobaccos. The blend burns slow, even and exudes flavorful nuances of chocolate mixed with toasty notes of leather and earth. The first inch will leave an intense spicy character on your palate before slightly mellowing out by delivering some sweet notes that are to die for. Medium to full-bodied, enjoy this blend in the afternoon or after your favorite meal.
Great flavor unequal ash hard and heavy draw but overall decent cigar and would try again

Good flavor but not worthy of some of the scores it receives. Burns uneven.

Great Taste - Poor Burn
Aug 09, 2015
I order most of my cigars. I ordered a single of the Prensado and thought I had found the perfect cigar; bold, smooth and reasonably complex taste. Next order I included a box. I am about half way thru the box now and about 2/3 burn to one side. The taste is tops but fighting my way thru a cigar diminishes the pleasure for me.
This cigar brings a great taste if the last half of the box burns better I may return again.
