Calling all fans of La Herencia Cubana Original, if you've been searching for a similar blend that offers more robust flavors in a full-bodied presentation, then grapple some Oscuro Fuertes—you won't be disappointed.
Produced in the same factory as ITC 10th, Man O' War, Rocky Patel Fusion, and Sol Cubano Cuban Cabinet, La Herencia Cubana stems from master blender AJ Fernandez. The name itself means “Cuban heritage” and for good reason: the blend is similar in flavor and complexity to those originating from Cuba's glory days.
Oscuro Fuerte adds a uniquely rich cigar to this fantastic line of cigars by AJ Fernandez. Although it contains similar tobaccos to those found in its Original counterpart, a robust yet smooth concoction of Nicaraguan tobaccos grown in Esteli, Condega and Jalapa, the blend stands out due to its oily and super rich broadleaf maduro wrapper grown in Pennsylvania. The combination creates a ton of sweet characters masked by earth, pepper, spice and cedar, with a phenomenal finish that leaves espresso and cocoa on the palate. The blend slowly builds in strength from start to finish, but still remains perfectly balanced. A must-try for all Fernandez fans.

Great everyday smoke
Oct 19, 2015
This is a good all around cigar. It is pretty strong, but not harsh. This is my favorite smoke when working around the house, mowing or just performing busy work to stay in the yard a little longer. It is a good inexpensive every day smoke that seems like a much pricier cigar. I only smoke about 2-3 cigars per week and like variety, but this one seems to make the cut at least weekly.
I will continue to keep this one in my stash for a long time.
This is one of AJ's finest. I know I say that about everything the man makes but it's so true – every one is a gem. This dark and gorgeous cigar showcases a light sheen on its PA broadleaf wrapper, offering up sweet chocolate and cedar notes with just a hint of leather. This one is a beauty and for the price, it can't be beat. Give Oscuro Fuerte a shot today. You will not be disappointed.
Toro (6.5"x50) Great burn and draw. Created thick, creamy smoke and a ton of complex earthy nuances with a rich, flavorful after taste. Maintained a medium finish with a medium body and can be enjoyed any time of day.
Belicoso (5.0"x56) Burned slightly uneven but corrected itself immediately. Produces a ton of smoke while burning cool from the start. Offers an effortless draw and creates an incredibly full character while leaving an oily feel on your palate.
Salomon (7.1"x58) Tight draw at first, due to the shape of this cigar. Toast the end well to prevent an uneven burn. The blend really opened up after two inches, creating hearty, earthy flavors with some pepper flavors mixed throughout. Will burn for at least 70 minutes.
Robusto (5.5"x54) A decent 45 minute cigar. Not as complex as the other sizes but maintained a consistent flavor from start to finish. You'll notice this size offers a sweeter character on the finish and does not burn as robust, keeping a smooth mellow after taste from the start.
