Gurkha Grand Reserve is about as unique as they come.
Hand rolled in the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic, Gurkha Grand Reserve is combined with Louis XIII Cognac in a secretive infusion process that does not involve spraying or dipping. This cognac addition provides the perfect balance to the cigar with subtle undertones to the rich natural tobacco flavor of the cigar.
Before the infusion process, each Grand Reserve starts with an aged Dominican filler that is caped with a silky Connecticut shade wrapper. This combination makes the cigar mild to medium-bodied, but sweet and flavorful at the same time. The addition of the Louis XIII makes this cigar absolute bliss. No wonder Gurkha Grand Reserve has attracted even the most conservative cigar enthusiasts with its unique blend and enticing aroma.
I purchased the Gurkha Grand Reserve Torpedo, because I really enjoy the Gurkha cigars. Was disappointed with this one, lack of flavor was my main concern, expected a bit more. Good even burn, but not for me. Will continue to purchase other Gurkhas, but will stay away from this one.
