It takes some of the most experienced hands in the business to make a cigar that has deep roots in Cuban history, and Manuel Quesada is considered one of the most knowledgeable tobacco men in the Dominican Republic. He was the first to blend the famous Romeo y Julieta brand outside of the Dominican Republic, and today he has a portfolio filled with highly rated brands.
Usually associated with milder cigars, Fonseca breaks the mold with this blend. Expect more of a medium-bodied (maybe even medium-full bodied) blend with this beauty. Draped in a dark, oily Habano wrapper, the blend is as Cuban-esque as it comes. You’ll get hints of spice right from the beginning, and the cigar remains fairly consistent throughout. The spice that hits you up front evolves into a creamy, cedary flavor as it lingers on your palate. The flavors are balanced and refined, and leave you feeling relaxed and fulfilled. This cigar is nothing short of what you’ve come to expect from Fonseca.
