Cusano has always made giving the cigar enthusiast a great value his top priority. This mission has carried over to their premium lines, where hand-rolled premiums with big ratings are offered for everyday low prices. Each cigar made at the notorious Tabadom Factory (the same place where Davidoff is made) has a special attribute, be it the filler or the wrapper, and is expertly rolled by hand in the Dominican Republic.
Cusano 18 Connecticut is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Cusano 18's filler is composed of Dominican Oro harvested eighteen years ago. The extraordinary flavors are then blended with potent Ligero Piloto and San Vicente Olor leaves. A Connecticut Shade binder and a second, very flavorful Connecticut Shade wrapper produce huge volumes of richness and an exquisite, creamy finish. When searching for a mellow, everyday blend, you can never go wrong with Cusano 18. Cusano 18 Maduro uses 18-year-old Dominican Oro in the filler, but it also combines two exquisite maduro wrappers to make one of the best maduro wrapped cigars ever crafted. The first wrapper is a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro, famous for being smooth and creamy. The second wrapper, which is actually placed in the filler, is Brazilian Mata Fina, which adds a little bit of spice to the palate. Also, like the original, Paired Maduro has a nice medium body with a rich and silky flavor. It is exactly how one would expect a maduro version of the Cusano 18 to taste: perfect.
